As I embark on a solo retreat, preparing for the next steps in both my cancer journey and my vision for 2025, I’ve been taking time to reflect deeply on my life’s path.
True to my nature, I’m revisiting my birth chart, reconnecting with the energies that shape who I am and how I navigate the world. This time, as I walk daily through the woods—my childhood sanctuary for escape—I’m finding myself drawn to themes of the Third House in my chart.
The Third House represents early education, the immediate environment, short-distance travel, curiosity, and communication. As I walk through the forest, I’m reflecting on how the way I communicate has been shaped by my early experiences—how my parents spoke to each other, how they spoke to me, and how those formative interactions have influenced the way I express myself today.
It’s fascinating to think about the subtle, yet profound, ways communication is developed in childhood. How did you learn to speak, to listen, to express your needs? Did you and your siblings create a special language or code to communicate? How does the way you were taught to communicate still serve you now, and in what ways might it need to evolve?
For me, the Third House in my chart is in Leo, and Mars is currently transiting through Leo as well. This alignment has sparked deep reflection on how I can integrate the lessons Mars is offering me around communication, action, and passion—especially in the context of Leo’s creative, courageous energy.
Leo, the sign of the lion, is known for its boldness, its heart-centered energy, and its desire to be seen and heard for who it truly is. Mars, the planet of action, drive, and forward momentum, is currently amplifying Leo’s fiery nature. Mars in Leo is about embracing our power, asserting ourselves with confidence, and taking courageous action in the world.
So, how do these energies come together in communication?
For me, I’m choosing to integrate the essence of Leo—the courage to be true to myself—with the fiery drive of Mars to speak up with passion, bravery, and authenticity.
The message is clear: If I want to evolve emotionally and communicate with greater confidence, I need to embody the fearless energy of Leo and the dynamic action of Mars. I’m learning to speak with conviction, to communicate not just with words, but with the full fire of my being—saying what I truly mean and standing in my own truth.
But this process isn’t just about speaking louder; it’s about speaking with intentionality and heart. The question I keep asking myself is: How can I speak with both clarity and authenticity, infusing my words with the same creative energy that Leo embodies? How can I allow myself to be seen and heard in my full, radiant expression?
I encourage you to take some time to reflect on where Leo falls in your own chart, and how Mars might be inviting you to level up your communication. What themes or areas of your life could benefit from integrating the passionate, bold energy of Leo and Mars? How can you use these influences to evolve emotionally, speak more authentically, and claim your voice in a way that empowers you?
Perhaps, like me, you’ll discover that communication is not just about transmitting information—it’s about sharing yourself. It’s about how you express your creativity, your individuality, and your truth with the world.
As I continue my retreat and my journey toward healing, I’m realizing that communication isn’t just an external practice; it’s an internal one, too. It’s about how I speak to myself, how I honor my own voice, and how I create a deeper, more authentic dialogue within.
I encourage you to look at your own relationship with communication, both with others and with yourself. Are there patterns or practices that need to shift? Are there new ways of expressing yourself that feel more aligned with who you are becoming? And most importantly, are you speaking from a place of courage, creativity, and authenticity?
Feel free to reach out if you'd like to explore these themes further. I’d love to hear how you are integrating these energies in your own life and communication!
Be bold, be brave, and speak your truth—your voice is powerful.
